Grandpa helping with the car.
Zach and Grandpa
Bryson, Grandpa and Colton getting ready to watch the race...
Zachary had his first Pinewood Derby Race at the church last night. He really wanted Grandpa to help him out with his car, so we went over Sunday and Monday night to work on it. The car looked great!!! It had a little bumper with springs and all. (Thanks Dad) Ben helped make the car too! The only tricky part was that each car had to race with an egg strapped to it. The car that reached the end with out breaking the egg would win. Colton and Bryson really liked watching the eggs splatter all over when they hit the 2 x 4 at the end of the track. Zachary’s car was really fast although the egg broke three out of four times. After each race Grandpa helped revamp the car, so it would be ready to race again. We finally got it right on the last try. Zachary was happy that he took third place in the Wolf Den and was very excited that he got a blue ribbon for "The best looking car" We had a fun night and were really glad Grandpa could come help us out! Now, we only have 11 more Pinewood Derby cars left to make in our lifetime!
